Dr Peter Richard-Herbert

Dr Peter Richard-Herbert is a registered consultant analytical psychotherapist, clinical hypnotherapist, counsellor and psychoanalyst. He is Senior Lecturer in Counselling at The Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP), Sydney. Peter is unique, in that he uses each of these areas selectively when working with a client to offer a more rounded and effective therapy.  His sessions are approx 90 minutes duration, compared with the usual 50 minute sessions elsewhere for the same price. He has opened a new practise in Bowral NSW, a 80 minute drive from Sydney CBD.

Why Peter is Different?

Dr Richard-Herbert’s qualifications and over 38 years experience as a therapist enables him to work differently to a lot of everyday therapists and counsellors, by taking an interactive emotionally intuitive approach, rather than the expected ‘how does that make you feel’ questioning. By examining body-language, facial micro-expression, and using an emotional intelligence paradigm, a psychological profile is created together with a program to recovery that will have clients fully functioning again.

We can Help

If you are feeling anxious about something, stressed, having negative thoughts or unresolved issues, then talking to someone confidentially – who is not a friend or family member – can make all the difference. It is common for people to extensively search options and websites when deciding who they would feel comfortable discussing their personal issues. You can also phone or email us with your contact phone number and have a no obligation chat with Peter before you make that important decision.
